Everyone I interviewed experienced gaining internet access as teenagers as an important change in their lives, and they all continue to socialise online today. Most of them play video games, particularly if those games have Queer themes, although few identify as gamers. They all share left-wing political identities, which do not always mesh well with ‘computer peoples’ politics’.
