Many of the participants feel that being Queer means they have trouble appearing ‘professional’. Some of them have solved this problem by working from home, but this didn’t work out for everyone. For those who work in larger companies, HR departments can help them avoid workplace discrimination, however, deciding if they want to come out is always a complex decision. Many of them feel that being Queer contributes to the technologies they produce in a positive way.
